abstract="In the majority of patients with cancer, there are pain complaints with different mechanisms of formation, intensity, and localisation. Proper therapeutic treatment allows for quick reduction of pain intensity while maintaining the safety of pharmacotherapy. Currently, the Polish guidelines for pharmacotherapy of pain in a patient with cancer have been developed, which are intended to clarify the view on the proper management of this population of patients.",
