abstract="Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis is one of the most common hepatologic diagnoses. About 30% adults have NAFLD in developed countries. Diabetes and metabolic syndrome often coexist with NAFLD. Among patients we observe a natural history of this disease: hepatosteatosis (NAFL), steatohepatitis (NASH) with and without fibrosis, liver cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Diagnostics tools are USG of the liver, biochemical tests: triglyceride level, ALT, and AST. There are dietic treatments and some physical exercise, with final weight loss, then some drugs like metformin, statins, or bariatric surgery.",
