title="The usefulness of tacrolimus in the topical treatment of autoimmune bullous diseases",
abstract="Autoimmune bullous diseases are characterized by the presence of bullous lesions and erosions located on the skin and/or mucous membranes. Treatment of those diseases, including systemic administration of immunosuppressants, is associated with adverse effects. Topical application of glicocorticosteroids and antiseptic and agents is considered only as an adjuvant therapy. In the paper we present two cases of autoimmune bullous diseases \–pemphigus vulgaris and pemphigoid, treated with systemic therapy and topical tacrolimus (0.1% ointment). This kind of treatment resulted in rapid and long-lasting clinical remission. Based on these observations, we conclude that topical application of tacrolimus is highly effective adsjuvant agent in the treatment of autoimmune bullous diseases.",
