title="Cesarean delivery in obese woman",
abstract=" Obesity is concerned to be the risk factor in pregnancy, delivery and puerperium. Cesarean delivery is more frequent in obese women. Indications for, operative procedure, postoperative problems and the condition of the neonates have been analized in 41 obese women. Control group was 43 women with BMI < 30. The most frequent indications for cesarean delivery in obese women were hypertension and nonprogressive delivery. Midline infraumbilical incision, dreinage of the peritoneal cavity and the use of profilactic antibiotics were more frequent in obese patients. Postoperative complications such as: andomyometritis, wound infections and urinary tract infections increased significantly in obese patients. Obese patients who undergo cesarean delivery usually take slightly longer to full recover and they stay at hospital approximately two times longer in comparison to the control group patients. Birth weight of the neonates of the obese women was higher. ",
