title="Selection of patients for orthodontic therapy: Part two: Principles and practical aspects of selection of patients for orthodontic therapy",
abstract="The report considers principles involved in the selection of patients for orthodontic therapy in order to offer a fair and defensible system for use on a population basis. After a critical review of established methods including IOTN and PAR methods, the study considers the merits of an “evidence-based” method adopted in Denmark. As a unique recommendation the report suggests the establishment of a series of goals for “acceptable occlusion” which in them selves motivate decisions regarding the offer of orthodontic therapy to the individual patient.
