title="Haemangiomas and vascular malformations within
the oral cavity – diagnostics, differentiation, treatment",
abstract="Introduction. Haemangioma and vascular malformations (lat. angioma arteriovenosum) of head and neck are frequent conditions in daily dental practice. These malignant lesions come from the structure of blood vessels. Although angiomas are mild, non-encapsulated lesions, they may evolve into malignant lesions; therefore, detailed diagnostics and proper selection of treatment methods towards the above-mentioned vascular lesions are important. Aim of the study. To describe lesions of the haemangioma type taking into consideration diagnostics, differentiation with other lesions within the oral cavity and review of selected treatment methods. Conclusion. Haemangiomas require individual clinical treatment. The risk of occurrence of ulcerations and postsurgical scars must be reduced before treatment. Such procedure is particularly important in the case of facial lesions, which may be treated as physical and social impediment. Modern treatment methods based on application of laser devices are procedures of choice in terms of aesthetics, minimal risk of occurrence of side effects and achieving permanent therapeutic effect ",
