title="The high school graduates knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases",
abstract="  Introduction.  Sexually transmitted diseases are not only sexual problem, but also have a social meaning and economic context, combined with medical costs. Prevention and treatment of these diseases requires the cooperation of the patient, his environment, and medical and educational units. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out health education with particular emphasis on sex education in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Raising awareness in this area will help reduce the incidence of these diseases. Such an approach will entail the desired effects on health, social and economic.   Aim of the study.  The main purpose of this study is to examine the state of maturity classes students about sexually transmitted diseases, their diagnosis and prevention methods. Work is also designed to obtain information from which respondents derive information about sexually transmitted diseases and to highlight the sexual education of young people.   Material and methods.  The study covered 200 students of maturity classes. The study authors used questionnaire containing 16 closed questions concerning the three sexually transmitted diseases   Results.  The results showed inadequate levels of knowledge among the majority of respondents. Respondents know what they relate to disease, they know some of the symptoms and prevention methods. According to respondents, the best method of preventing sexually transmitted diseases is to avoid casual sex. The study also found that women have a much greater knowledge than men.   Conclusions.  It is important to introduce an effective sex education into the curriculum. This will raise young people\’s knowledge of safety and prevention of risky sexual behavior.",
