abstract="  Introduction.  \&#8220;Motivation, in attributive terms, is readiness of a human to behave in a certain way, a state which initiates certain types and levels of activity\&#8221; [1]. However, effective motivation consists in combining skillfully the interests of people working in a specific organization. In a daily work of people who are in charge of nursing teams, appropriate skills to motivate the employee are crucial.   Aim of the study.  Therefore, the aim of this study was to characterize the factors motivating nurses to work in the years 2001\&#8211;2012.   Materials and methods.  The study was conducted using a diagnostic survey with a questionnaire, yearly, among students of complementary MA nursing studies, both stationary and extramural ones in the Pomeranian Medical University.   Results and conclusions.  The results obtained show that in the recent years in both groups motivation of the subjects was affected the most by the sense of belonging but among the factors motivating the examined groups in slightly lesser degree, significant differences were observed in the last examination, resulting perhaps from the problems organizational in the whole health sector.",
