title="Analysis of the percentage of children who received the chosen vaccinations on the premises of the health care centre in Polanów in 2004\–2008",
abstract=" Background . Prophylactic vaccinations are one of the most efficient ways to prevent many infectious diseases. As a result of large scale vaccination, resistance is increased not only in people who vaccinate against particular diseases but also in the population as a whole. A percentage of the vaccinated subjects is a very important positive measure of the population health. Aim of the study . The aim of this study was to analyse a percentage of the vaccinated children included in the prophylactic vaccination schedule in the years 2004\–2008 on the premises of health care centre in Polanów. Material and methods . The study involved 2302 students to be immunized in 2004\–2008. We analyzed data coming from the reports \„MZ- -54\” from particular years. Results . A percentage of the vaccinated children at the age of 10\–19 run from 97% in 2007 to 100% in the years 2004\–2005. During this period 100% of girls aged 13 were vaccinated against rubella. In 2005, there was introduced combined vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR vaccination) for children aged 10. While in 2005\–2006, 100% of the children population examined was vaccinated, in the społeczeńyears that followed a percentage of the vaccinated population slightly decreased. Some changes were noted in the vaccination schedule in 2004\–2006 (comparing to the previous years), whereas since 2006 the prophylactic vaccination schedule for the children examined has not changed. Conclusions . In the years examined we noted a high percentage of the vaccinated children aged 10\–19 to be immunized within obligatory prophylactic vaccination schedule. Obligatory vaccinations for children at the age of 10\–19 within the prophylactic vaccination schedule has been unchanged since 2006, which is associated with a stable epidemiological situation in Poland.
