title="The phenomenon of professional burnout among nurses working in the oncology department — initial test",
abstract="  Introduction.  Burnout is a response of the body to the stress situation, related to the work performed. Nurses belong to the group exposed of a high degree of burnout. Jobs, the essence of which is the care and nurture of man diagnosed with cancer to allow efficient exhaust, especially by his intensity and constant moving around of the final events.   Aim.  Aim of the study was to examine whether haematology nurses suffer from occupational burnout syndrome and what factors influence its occurrence.   Material and methods.  The 51 nurses working at the haematology ward. Research was selected diagnostic survey, which was carried out the questionnaire. The calculations were made with the STATISTICA 10 PL.   Results.  There was no statistically significant association between the burnout symptoms with age, work experience, education, additional qualifications, place of residence, work system and function (p \> 0.05 ). Observed cases of significant (p \< 0.05) correlation between the responses to the questionnaire (10–22) with symptoms of burnout.   Conclusions.    1. Among haematological nurses professional burnout were observed.  2. Some of the symptoms (impaired concentration, discouragement, lack of motivation, sleeping problems, oversensitivity, lack of patience) is a relation with stress experienced.  3. A noticeable adverse impact is defective flow of information on the condition of psychophysical subjects. Lack of strength and energy, loss of motivation to work, mistakes, discouragement reported by nurses, a sense of being not good enough.  4. Dependence of the impact of stress on burnout concerns of nurses with higher seniority. ",
