title="Reasons for choosing the example of nursing studies at the Medical University of Lodz",
abstract="  Introduction.  There is variety of nurse profession choosing factors, however they are tend to be reflected in the later professional training, quality of work and entities comfort using these services.      Aim.  The purpose of this study was to investigate nurse profession choosing factors from nursing students point of view.      Material and methods.  A survey was conducted on population of the first and third year 135 first degree nursing students Health Faculty, University of Medicine in Lodz.      Results.  The biggest influence on the choice of study was the knowledge usefulness and skills in everyday life (answer indicated by 52% of respondents) and the desire to help people (51.1%).      Conclusions.  The outcome of this survey can be considered as optimistic forecast of profession choice. Most respondents demonstrated mature and aware decision-making and planning way for the future, because of factors indicated by them.   Nursing Topics 2014; 22 (4): 433–438  ",
