title="Nursing care of children with Asperger syndrome — individual case study",
abstract="  Introduction.  Asperger syndrome is a form of infantile autism. The main features of the syndrome are: lack of interest in the environment, a strong resistance to any changes, and focusing on objects. In the school age it hinders from relating to peers, even if a child goes to integrated school with inclusive classrooms. At school teachers and nurses need to take great care of a child.   Aim.  The aim of this study is to describe the nursing care of a child with Asperger syndrome.   Material and methods.  The research material is a student of the second year of primary school. The research method is „A study of the individual case”. The research techniques used in the study are: interview/conversation, observation, analysis of documents. The research tool is a „Sheet to collect data about the patient”. Case study was developed based on the collected data.  Results and conclusions .  1. Proper care of school nurse along with teaching staff of a student would provide a good quality of life of a student and his family.  2. Ensuring the relative stability of the closest environment and social support will alleviate child’s problems and facilitate adaptation to the surrounding world and the entrance into adult life.
