title="Relations nurse–patient in the context of social media",
abstract="     Today, we observe dynamic changes taking place in the area of interpersonal communication, with the increasing role of social media and other Internet resources. They can be a valuable tool for work and professional development of nurses, however, their use entails some risk. The most important issues related to the use of Internet resources in the context of health care is the right to confidentiality and privacy, and the risk of blurring the boundaries of a professional relationship in the case of establishing non-business interactions with patients in the virtual world. Health care professionals are required to understand the character, the benefits and consequences of the participation in the modern media of all types. Their actions in cyberspace should be cautious, thoughtful and consistent with the ethos of the profession. The aim of this study is to show the potential risks arising from the use of social media. Nursing Topics 2015; 23 (1): 139–143      ",
