title="The level of children’s life satisfaction treated with insulin pumps",
abstract=" Introduction. Diabetes type 1 lasts throughout the patient’s life, hence it is one of long — lasting diseases. Till now medicine has not invented any drug which might cure diabetes type 1 completely. Aim. Assessment of the level of satisfaction with the lives of children treated with insulin pump. Material. The survey was conducted among children and teenagers, aged 10–18 years. Methods . Scientific data were gathered with the aid of The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), as well as with the use of the dissertation author’s original questionnaire prepared for the above survey. Results and conclusions . As a result of the research, a slightly better percentage of life satisfaction has been noticed in boys than in girls. From data analysis it appears that age group 5–10 years are most satisfied with life despite being treated with the insulin pump. At the majority of the patients with Type I diabetes treated with insulin pumps the overall level of satisfaction with life is mediocre. ",
