title="Practical aspects of treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease in light of recent recommendations",
abstract="Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) has consistently been the most common problem, for many years, with which patients report to both a primary care physician and a gastroenterologist. Despite the widespread use of proton pump inhibitors, the percentage of new patients is still increasing, which is why a document was needed that clearly defines the diagnostic procedure and treatment for GERD. A novelty in the recommendations is the inclusion of prokinetic drugs (itopride) in the recommended standard of conduct and systematisation of available knowledge on this topic.",
