title="A multifaceted problem of a patient with arteriovenous ulceration – a case report",
abstract="Arteriovenous ulcers are the second leading aetiology of wounds located on the lower extremities. The paper presents a case report of a patient with mixed (arteriovenous) lower limb ulceration treated at the Chronic Wound Treatment Clinic. Proceedings were implemented in line with the applicable recommendations. First, a thorough diagnosis was carried out, which gave direction to the causal actions, i.e. the application of compression therapy. Then, local proceedings were implemented, including diagnostics of the wound and surrounding skin, lavaseptics and wound antisepsis, preparation of placental tissues and margins, as well as selection of a specialist dressing. An important element of the care was education in the use of compression therapy, exercise activating the muscle pump, and involving the patient in the wound care process. As a result of multidirectional care and treatment activities, a significant improvement and progress in the wound healing process was achieved.",
