abstract="Diagnosis and treatment of allergic rhinitis are believed to be simple. National and international guidelines are not frequently updated. Therefore, several problems forming a gap between clinical research data, a practical approach and practice parameters have been arisen. In  this short review we are trying to address them, citing new publication or applying our experience. We also pointing out  new directions which should be utilized in preparation of the new guidelines. A few important errors in rhinitis diagnosis and treatment were also summarized.",
