title="Platelet-Rich Plasma in Wound Treatment",
abstract="         Platelet-rich plasma is a widely used autologous preparation applied in the treatment of various medical conditions. To date, it has been used in several fields of medicine, including orthopedics, regenerative medicine, aesthetic medicine, and the management of chronic wounds and burns. In many cases, platelet-rich plasma therapy has shown promising results; however, limitations regarding its effectiveness remain. Further research is needed to fully determine its advantages and disadvantages. Platelet-rich plasma is one of the available adjunctive modalities for the treatment of burn wounds; however, existing studies suggest that it may not substantially alter the overall course of burn wound healing. Nevertheless, it may enhance tissue regeneration and shorten recovery time, with particularly notable benefits observed in the management of diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers. Studies indicate that platelet-rich plasma used alongside standard wound care may improve clinical outcomes. Therefore, it may represent a cost-effective and promising adjunctive approach for preventing complications associated with impaired wound healing.     ",
