abstract=" Aim: The presentation of the clinical and histopathological characteristics, the differentiation and treatment of verrucous cancer (Ackerman\’s cancer), which constitutes the rare and poorly known oncological unit. Matherial and methods: The characteristics of verrucous cancer are presented on basis of the review of the literature and own diagnosed and treated cases. Conclusions: 1. The diagnosis of verrucous carcinoma is difficult and may be put forward on basis of conjoined analysis of clinical and histopathological features. 2. The real possibility of regrowth of the tumor has to be taken into consideration in cases of treatment with ablative procedures of moderate aggressiveness. 3. The radical surgical excision constitutes the treatment of choice.",
