abstract="A review of methods applied in surgical treatment of refractory epilepsy is presented. Basing on literature assessment and own experience we found surgical procedures to be very effective in cases of drug resistant and severe epilepsy. In a group of patients with symptomatic onsets a pharmacological treatment is ineffective due an etiological reasons. Advances in CT/MR diagnostic procedures and improvement in surgical techniques lies in basis better postoperative results.",
