abstract="Conductive hearing loss is caused by disorders located in the stimulus transport organ transmitting the sounds from the surroundings to the hearing receptor. It refers to the diseases developing within external ear meatus and in the middle ear. Main complaints voiced by the sick are: hearing loss, tinnitus with relatively low frequency as well as ear discharge in case of chronic otitis media. The treatment is most often carried out by the means of surgery. The right choice of surgery procedure is vital for prospective hearing results. In this work the methods of surgical treatment of conductive hearing loss based on our experience within otitis media secretoria, retraction pockets, chronic otitis media and otosclerosis have been presented. Moreover, basic information on the treatment and surgery procedures concerning the above have been revised.",
