title="Disturbances in cerebral circulation",
abstract="Disturbances in cerebral circulation, mostly cerebral ischemic stroke are significant clinical and social problems. They are caused by many factors, the most frequent are arteriosclerosis and arterial hypertension. Atherosclerotic lesions are situated in many places, usually on the division of the carotid artery and in a proximal part of the subclavian artery. The diagnosis of these pathologies is possible in many ways, the Doppler ultrasonography seems to be optimal. Occlusion of the extracranial arteries can be effectively treated surgically. Primary and secondary prophylaxis play the major role in prevention of the recurrence of brain ischemic event.",
