abstract="Technological advances and increasing popularity of non-invasive imaging techniques dramatically reduced the numbers of angiographies performed in hospitals around the world. At present, interventional diagnostic procedures are usually carried out as a prelude to endovascular therapeutic interventions. B-mode ultrasound, doppler ultrasound, Color Doppler, Power Doppler, angio-CT and angio-MR play a dominant role, all being non-invasive modalities. The selection of the best method should be based on the particular clinical problem, technique availability, its invasiveness and the risk of possible complications. Therefore, the issue of close cooperation between the clinician and radiologist performing the study must play the pivotal role in assuring the optimal diagnostic management of the patient.",
