title="Acute headache \– diagnosis and treatment",
abstract="Acute headaches are an interdisciplinary clinical problem, and because they are a main element of disease, remain a difficult clinical and diagnostic problem. Strong pain which often appears first during life disturbs both patients and doctors. The variety of causes which may be the reason for acute headache is great, and for this reason doctors\’ clinical experience is very important. Often this kind of headache coexists with different symptoms and signs which inform the doctors about possible complications in the central nervous system. The main causes of headache in clinical practice are migraine and trigemino \– vascular headache. More often acute headache exists in subarachnoid haemorrhage and in viral meningitis. The headache predominates in hypertension and illnesses causing the growth of intracranial pressure. The diseases of bony face and internal diseases are a separate group which may be allogenic. Every doctor meets headache and for this reason acquaintance with its causes is important in everyday practice.",
