abstract="Crohn\’s disease (CD, regional enteritis) is an immune-mediated inflammatory disease that can affect any portion of the intestinal tract from the mouth to the anus. The disease usually is localized, most commonly to the ileum, ileum and cecum, or ileum and entire colon. Gastritis and upper intestinal tract inflammation are present in 30% of patients. A significant increase in Crohn\’s disease (CD) incidence has been recently observed in children. Atypical signs and clinical course of disease, and problems with long lasting treatment results are the main causes of diagnostic and therapeutic problems as well as a source of serious complications in children.",
