Design: Estimation of frequency of depressive signs alongside menopausal syndrome in postmenopausal women. Materials and methods: This study was carried out on 61 female patients complaining of menopausal symptoms. The mean age of women under examination was 53.49\±5.88 years. All the patients were in the postmenopausal period. The degree of intensification of postmenopausal syndrome was carried out using Kupperman\’s and Green\’s scales and depression symptoms using Beck\’s and Hamilton\’s scale. Results: Depression assessed with Hamilton\’s scale was observed in all women with severe postmenopausal syndrome. Depression assessed with Beck\’s scale was observed in 12 women (85.71%) with severe postmenopausal syndrome. There were very high statistically significant positive correlations between Hamilton\’s and Kupperman\’s scales (p<0.0001), Hamilton\’s and Green\’s scales (p<0.0001) and Beck\’s and Green\’s scales (p=0.0012). The correlations between Beck\’s and Kupperman\’s scales were not statistically significant. The correlations between Beck\’s and Hamilton\’s scales (p<0.0001) and Kupperman\’s and Green\’s scales (p<0.0001) scale were also statistically significant. Conclusions: The results of the study point to an increase in the frequency of depressive signs alongside the increase in the degree of intensification of menopausal syndrome.
