title="Case reportEnormous benign hepatic cyst as the cause of obstructive jaundice, operative treatment",
abstract="Benign hepatic cysts are found quite often during abdomen ultrasound examination carried out for various medical reasons. Usually they cause no symptoms, and if they do, these are rather uncharacteristic. One of the rarest complications caused by benign hepatic cyst is an obstructive jaundice. We describe the case of a patient in whom the obstructive jaundice was caused by external compression of hepatic hilus structures by an enormous hepatic cyst. We conducted a two-step surgical procedure (percutaneous cyst drainage, followed by laparoscopic cyst unroofing) resulting in normalisation of hepatic laboratory tests and quick recovery.",
