abstract="Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) is characterized by asthma, eosinophilia and systemic small and medium-sized vasculitis. We have observed a 34-year old man with a history of asthma suffering from fever, dyspnoea, cough, epigastric burning, epigastric pain and confluent eruption on the skin of the shanks. We diagnosed pulmonary infiltrates (X-ray film of chest). There were found in histological examination of material after oesophageal biopsy mastocytes, lymphocytes and eosinophils (>22 eos/1 high power field). We observed eosinophilia (4.8 G/L), increased serum C-reactive protein and IgE, IL-4, IL-5 and TNF-\α concentration in the patient. pANCA were found in the serum of the patient. We diagnosed CSS with oesophageal involvement.",
