abstract="The results of an opinion poll conducted in April 2007 among a representative sample of 1000 Polish citizens (in the age range 15-80) were presented. The aim of this study was to assess the proportion of Poles who use the medical Internet and e-health services. There were 66.7% of Poles using the Internet, of which 41.4% were everyday users. For 48.2% of all respondents, the WWW was an important source of health information. More than half (55.3%) of Internet users browsed the Web for such information at least once a month. The percentage of Internet users in Poland has increased by 13.9% over the past two years, and the percentage of those using the Internet for health purposes increased by 11.8%. These changes have been in line with the general European trend observed at the same time.",
