abstract="The problem of performing endoscopy during pregnancy is raising numerous questions. In pregnancy every medical treatment, especially when we have to use X-ray, should have precise indications, and every doctor has to know the assessment of  costs and benefits. Based on available publications we might say that if we follow established rules provided by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, then every endoscopic procedure, including ERCP, will be safe for the pregnant woman and her fetus.",
