A sportman’s hernia is a controversial cause of this chronic groin pain, being difficult to define. The balance between the adductor and abdominal muscles is of great importance in this entity, as well as the elasticity of the pubic symphysis and the weakness of the posterior abdominal wall of the inguinal area, but different factors have been related to the presence of pain in these patients. A multidisciplinary approach to this entity is recommended, since the present literature does not supply the proper diagnostic studies and the correct treatment that should be performed in these patients, although the endoscopic totally preperitoneal approach (TEP) with mesh has been proposed as a solution to this problem. %A Morales-Conde, Salvador %P 32-41 %9 journal article %U https://www.termedia.pl/Sportsman-8217-s-hernia-an-entity-to-be-defined-diagnosed-and-treated-properly-,42,12132,1,1.html
