Gastroenterological symptoms are present in 25–40% of patients with active disease. They are usually nonspecific and result from the disease itself or are the side effect of applied therapy. Lesions of the gastrointestinal tract may affect any part of it and may also affect the liver and pancreas. This paper presents the most frequent and the most serious gastrointestinal manifestations in the course of systemic lupus erythematosus including lupus mesenteric vasculitis, protein-losing enteropathy, pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis and lesions of the liver and pancreas. %A Cichoż-Lach, Halina %A Celiński, Krzysztof %P 36-41 %9 journal article %R 10.5114/reum.2013.33392 %U http://dx.doi.org/10.5114/reum.2013.33392
