Results of the study show a significantly lower expression of Bcl-2, Bax and PARP-1 and a significantly higher expression of caspase 3, 9 and TNFR1 in the lymphocytes of patients with pancreatic cancer as compared to the healthy control. In conclusion: our studies show a down-regulation of antiapoptotic signaling system in the lymphocytes of patients with pancreatic cancer and a switch to apoptosis. These alterations may lead to lymphocytes dysfunction and immune system suppression. AU - Kędziora, Sylwia AU - Słotwiński, Robert AU - Olszewski, Waldemar L.
