Influenza viruses type A and type B are the major cause of infections that infect people of all ages around the globe. As a result of these infections, with this comes multi-organ complications, which can often end in tragic results for the infected patient and naturally for the family of the patient. Although prevention is the cheapest, most effective way to fight influenza via the vaccine, the percentage of the population vaccinated with the very effective influenza flu vaccine is at a very low percentage of the population, and Poland places in the next to the last place in the European Union of the number of people vaccinated yearly. For many years, medicine has had a new generation of anti-influenza antiviral medicines: oseltamivir and zanamivir, both used in the case of infection with Influenza Type A and B.
