A rare case of clear cell carcinoma of the parotid gland imitating external ear inflammation

A case of a 48-year-old man with extensive rare primary clear cell carcinoma in the right parotid gland is described. Atypical course of the disease in the form of swollen nodular-erythematosus auricle without facial palsy made it difficult to establish the diagnosis. The final diagnosis was based on an open biopsy of the tumour and immunohistochemical studies.
