Arterial hypertension is now one of the most serious clinical problems. Essential hypertension with ischemic heart disease is responsible for about 60% cases of chronic heart failure (CHF). The main factor, which is leading to the heart failure, is the left ventricle hypertrophy. Fundamental task in the treatment of CHF is normalizing the blood pressure. This approach may prevent or lead to regression the left ventricle hyperotrophy. In the treatment of CHF in the course of arterial hypertension both not pharmacological and pharmacological action is important. The main role belongs to beta-blockers, ICE-inhibitors, diuretics, blockers of angiotensine II receptors and also calcium antagonists (derivative dihydropiridine).
