Psoriasis is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory disease, which affects 1-3% of the population. In the course of the disease lesions are often extensive and disfiguring. Stigmatization accompanies patients all the time, influences their families, social and occupational life. We are still looking for new methods of treatment, which could reduce the negative impact of psoriasis on patients’ mental health. There are many measures that are used in assesing general quality of life, scales concerning patients with dermatologic diseases and questionnaires only for psoriatic patients. This paper describes the influence of the disease on certain parts of patients’ life and the most often used questionnaires for evaluation of the impact of psoriasis on the quality of life.
