Nebivolol is a highly selective β-adrenolytic drug of the 3rd generation with the additional vasodilatative function depending on the releasing of endogenous nitric oxide (NO). Many available studies discovered the second level of therapeutic properties of nebivolol – very beneficial influence on metabolic and humoral causes of heart failure and showed very large potential of this drug in the prevention and treatment of the phenomenon leading to heart dysfunction.
