Bronchial asthma is the most common chronic disease in children. GINA in 2006 proposed a new classification of asthma to simplify therapeutic decisions. This classification is based on clinical control of asthma – we have asthma well-controlled, poorly controlled and uncontrolled. Diagnosis of asthma is difficult for small children, and it is based on characterized clinical symptoms. So far there are no definite treatment guidelines of asthma for children of age 5 or less. For older children there are 5 levels of treatment intensity. One of the most important things in therapy is a good relationship between the sick child, his parents and a doctor.
