Hidradenitis suppurativa is a severe skin condition of unknown aetiology and chronic, long standing course, in which skin lesions are characterized by nodules and inflammatory tumours, which usually disappear leaving subsequent scarring. It still causes huge therapeutic difficulties, despite quite frequent occurrence. We present the case of a 47-year-old male patient with rapid progression, serious course and therapy resistance. In this article we discuss new therapeutic options, especially biological therapies. Recently we place our hopes in biological treatment.
