Pigmented skin disorders of hyperpigmentation character may arise due to external factors, sequestration of exogenous or endogenous substances and may also accompany the whole variety of diseases. The correct diagnosis is often formulated after detailed and wide-ranging diagnostic procedures. However, regardless of the causative agent, treatment of skin discolorations is difficult and often symptomatic.
