The central giant cell granuloma is a tumor-like lesion according to WHO classification. It is an uncommon lesion located in the maxillo-mandibular region (7%) with the great number of osteoclastic origin giant cells. It may be the proof of
a likely existence of another factor apart from irritation, for instance hormonal, that could have caused its growth. The most frequently, it occurs in the third decade of life and it is mainly located in the mandibular region. This disease more often occurs in female. It is histologically a benign lesion, but we can differentiate #8220;aggressive” and “non-aggressive” forms on the grounds of clinical and radiological symptoms. The methods of treatment depend on
the clinical form of the central giant cell granuloma. Authors present 3 patients of CGCG of the mandible and discuss the diagnostic proceeding and treatment.
