The Eustachian tube performs a ventilatory and drainage function for the middle ear. Its dysfunction can lead to various pathologies, such as inflammations, cholesteatoma formation, hearing loss, and, in severe cases, otogenic complications. Numerous symptoms allow for the initial diagnosis of Eustachian tube dysfunction. The use of diagnostic tools, including subjective and objective audiometric tests, tubomanometry, and imaging, confirms the diagnosis. Nowadays, the treatment of choice for Eustachian tube dysfunction is tuboplasty.
