The aim of study was the analysis of the toluidine blue-orto (TBO) escapement by exocervical paraepidermal epithelium and valuation possible side effects and patients complains connected with TBO treatment during colposcopy examination.
97 patients colpophotograms were classified from the point of view of dye escapement, colour intensity, sharpness of colour borders. The side effects and examined patients complains were not recorded. Together with intensity increasing, more sharp demercation of colour regions were observed more often in the group of confirming dye escapement pictures. High important statistical difference between low (n=12) and high (n=26) intensity TBO escapement regions (p<0.0001). More rarely colouring only leukoplakia and whitening epithelium surrounding were observed.
