The progress taking place in all the domains of human life, improvement of sanitary conditions, development of preventive vaccination and new generation drug synthesis including antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic observed in the second half of the 20th century have resulted in gradual elimination of classical infectious diseases. Today we know that opinions of permanent eradication of infectious diseases were untimely and wrong. Infectious diseases will always be a social and clinical problem, regardless of technological progress, although the disease profile as well as clinical image undergo constant evolution.
