Rheumatic complaints and diseases have similar frequency in every region of Poland. The Mazovia Region was chosen to compare the demands for rheumatology services and the number of outpatient visits and hospital admissions. The findings highlight inequalities in territorial distribution of rheumatology centres, and unequal distribution of human resources between outpatient and hospital care.
