General indications for patients with viral hepatitis include reduction of excessive activity. However, it has been shown that prolonged immobilization has no influence on disease progression. No restricted diets are recommended, excluding patients with encephalopathy or ascites. Alcohol is contraindicated. Correct nutrition during treatment helps recovery.
