Pleural diseases are still very common. Tuberculous pleurisy was a leading cause of pleural exsudates in the past in developed regions but now the non-specific bacteria are the commonest reasons of the pathology. This work is a proposition to update our knowledge of infectious pleural diseases. The proposition of diagnostic strategy and differential diagnosing were proposed as the informations about the pathophysiology of pleural fluid.
