Intra- and extracranial complications caused by reccurence of choleastotoma – case study

The case of 88-year-old patient operated due to intra- and extracranial complications of cholesteatoma. The first and only manifestation of the condition was the abscess of left retroauricural area, causing diagnostic difficulties and delaying appropriate medical treatment. This case highlights the indispensability of performing computed tomography scans and magnetic resonance imaging while diagnosing the pathology of the temporal bone.
