Personalized Psychiatry is a quarterly scientific journal aimed at psychiatrists and residents seeking practical recommendations and inspiring case reports that will support their daily practice. The most common conditions, as well as rare cases, are accompanied by the most up-to-date expert commentary. Personalized Psychiatry responds to the need to develop an individualized approach to each patient seeking help from a psychiatrist or psychotherapist, in accordance with the motto: treat the patient, not the disease!

Manuscripts should be submitted to the journal's editor via the electronic editorial panel Editorial System https://www.editorialsystem.com/ps/ along with a signed Authors' Declaration/Publishing contract.

The journal accepts original papers, review articles, case reports, conference reports, book reviews, and letters to the editor.

Submitting a work describing human experiments for publication constitutes a declaration by the authors that the procedure followed was consistent with the requirements of the Declaration of Helsinki (concerning nursing and medical ethics, which prohibits the disclosure of the patient's name, initials, or hospital registry number) and with the ethical standards established by the appropriate ethics committee. The content of the work should be free of any information regarding the authors or the center from which the work originated.

Original papers should be prepared according to the following format: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Conclusions. Case reports should be organized according to the following format: Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, Conclusions.

The title of the paper should be provided in two languages: Polish and English.

Abstract

The abstract should be prepared and submitted in two languages: Polish and English. In original papers, it should contain between 200 and 250 words and be divided into: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. In case reports and review papers, it should contain between 100 and 150 words.

Keywords

For each paper, prepare 3 to 6 keywords (in Polish and English) describing the subject of the paper (in accordance with the Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings – MESH).

Abbreviations, Units of Measurement 

Only standard abbreviations should be used in the paper. Abbreviations should be avoided in the title and abstract. The first use of an abbreviation in the text must be explained, unless it is a standard unit of measurement. Measurements of length, height, weight, and volume should be given in metric units (meter, kilogram, liter) or their decimal fractions. Temperatures should be given in degrees Celsius, and blood pressure in millimeters of mercury. All hematological or biochemical measurement results should be provided with references to metric standards according to the International System of Units (SI).

Tables, Figures

Tables and figures should be prepared, numbered, and attached in separate files. Figure captions should be submitted in a separate file. Figures should be saved in one of the following formats: .cdr, .tif, .jpg, .ai, .bmp, or .eps.

Authors using materials from other sources should obtain permission to use them from the authors of the work or the publisher where they were published, and indicate their origin in the caption.

References

Works cited in the text should be numbered in order of citation; references to references in the text should be placed in square brackets. Each entry must include the surname and initial of the first three authors, followed by "et al.", the title of the work, the journal title using the abbreviations used in Index Medicus, and the year, volume number, and first and last pages of the work (e.g., Weber AS, Haidinger G. The prevalence of atopic dermatitis in children is influenced by their parents' education: results of two cross-sectional studies conducted in Upper Austria. Pediatr Allergy Immunol 2010; 21: 1028-1035). In the case of books, the full title, publisher, place of publication, and year of publication should also be provided (e.g., Korzeniewska-Rybicka I. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the treatment of spinal pain. In: Spinal pain and their treatment. Koszewski W. (ed.). Termedia, Poznań 2010; 79-91).

Copyright Transfer, Conflict of Interest

Each manuscript submitted to the editors must include a signed declaration by all authors transferring the copyright and publishing rights to the article to Termedia Publishing House, along with a declaration that the manuscript has not been previously published (in whole or in part) or simultaneously submitted for publication to another publishing house.

A declaration of the absence or existence of a conflict of interest is also required, specifying the conflict of interest and indicating the potential source of funding for the research to be published (grant, research institution).
